Yup, same here. Plus, I have a good surge protector which helps.
 
people still actually turn their stuff off when there is lightning?

i honestly dont think ive ever done that, never had any issues
 
ive got everything running through surge protectors, internet, power, cable. heres to hopen the surge protector does its job!

When I see lightning, I don't. However, when it starts raining hard, I shut down all the time. Mainly because every single time it rains hard, my power goes out. EVERY TIME!!1 It pisses me off. Even when it is just normal rain, the power sometimes goes out. Though, it hardly happens.

I have the same type of setup. I never turn off during thunderstorms, so I just cross my fingers and hope the surge protectors don't blow up and kill all my hardware.

haha lightening jsut blew the F out of somethen outside my window so my fingers are quite crossed at the moment

Well, personally I've never had any issues leaving the computer on, but since my parents paid for this computer, and I can't afford to replace it right now, I'll just do what they ask. A break is good, anyways.
