I started work on my resume back in this thread
the beginning of job hunt

New job gives me a 37% raise over my current job also they are giving me 14% more than what I had asked for at the interview. I have yet to accept the offer since I have 2 more interviews scheduled for today and tomorrow.

....
I graduated college (with CS degree) 6 years ago and have been working for same employer since then. This new job would be my second job after college.

I took some tips but left the numbers etc in there and have been flooded with interview requests. I left most of the formatting the same as well. I interviewed with this company last friday and got a offer today. Basically I will be making 37% more than I am now.

I am a salaried employee and they are paying 14% more than what I asked :D...overall 37% raise for me if I choose to accept.

I have 2 more interivews lined up tomorrow and day after...

Fixed. Learn english in a college while you are still in it.

Congratulations on your excellent offer!

There's nothing I respect more than honest, hard work.

The fact that they offered 14% MORE than you asked for is a sign that they really, really want you.

It may ALSO be a sign that they know you're worth more. At your other interviews, I'd ask for that same 14% more...or MORE than that...maybe you're undervaluing yourself?

Your degree + 6 years experience carries a lot of weight. Good luck!

You are right that I may be undervaluing myself. I joined my current company right out of school and in 6 years I have not had a single promotion and no significant raises (4-4.5%). 2 Senior positions opened in my department and when I asked my supervisor if I can apply for it he basically lied and said we cannot apply since we were in the same department....WTF. Can't wait to tell him I quit buddy.

Not to mention I have been overworked since 2 people left this month. All their bug fixes were dumped on me (about 400). I will be stuck doing bug fixes all my life.

Just started working on my masters :)

Congats man! I just jumped ship on my first job out of college for a signifigant pay increase as well. Every job has its different bullsh|t aspects, but if you're not getting anywhere I say its time to move on.

Things are getting ugly at work. I am off today and tomorrow and I am still getting slammed with emails. My boss tells me I need to keep track of assigned bugs better since their status is not kept updated.

I guess he failed to see that I am burried under bugs that were assigned to the last guy who just left the company.

Hey congratz. It's too bad your current company doesn't appreciate you. I got an internal job offer after 3 years with my company out of college. The dept. I was working for (we have functional IT units dedicated to differnt areas of the business) offered a 10% raise to keep me, so they other guys offered me 20%. Since they don't seem to want you, leave em high and dry (just be professional about it).
