i have precisely 10 sequentially numbered 2 dollar bills from 1976.

the number right below the word series is the print year, right?

what? you're not going to think i robbed some bank or something?

actually, i got them from the San Diego Wild Animal Park. they have entrance rates of 18.00 after tax, so they just return a 2 dollar bill from a 20 (what most people pay.)

ah nice, i didnt think 2 dollar bills were still in circulation

They are, you can get them at any bank. People for some reason think they are "rare" or "special" so they tend to keep them for some odd reason. The US Mint will likely be doing another run of $2 bills either this year or next as supplies are running low. The last run they did was in 1995.

i wouldnt keep mine, but they are sequentially numbered, and from '76, so i'll keep em just for that.

They may not be rare, but they're certainly uncommon. The last time I tried to use a $2 bill, the clerk had to call the manager to verify that it was an acceptable form of payment. That was probably back in the early 90s, though.
