Exactly what I'm thinking. Not only did the twinkies break the A's streak, Brad Radke threw a complete game win for the 100th win of his career. Win Twins.

They should have realized that you don't come into the dome and expect to win, much less break records. The Twinkies WILL sweep the A's in the Dome. We will see you A's fans in the Dome in 3 weeks. And, we will show you the magic is back.

I've been to the 87 and the 91 World Series. The baseball gods WILL NOT deny me the opportunity and privlege of taking my sons to see the magic.

Hmmmmmm, might have to sell my best system to pay for 4 tickets to a World Series Game.

Months of putting together the "perfect" system through hot deals = $1300

Days of parting out that system at a loss= <$700>

Paying a scalper for 4 Upper Deck Nosebleed Section $400

Having to wait for your 5 year to pee in the restroom while Torii Hunter jacks a homer into your ticket section for the World Series winning run..........Priceless

LOL! :p

Suprisingly I still remember most of it. I was 10 at the time....way past a snot nosed kid. I was just getting over sucking my thumb

Game 7 (IIRC) was tied 0 to 0 in extra innings! I remember Dan Gladden going from third to home on a sacrafice fly in either the bottom 10th or 11th. One of the best games ever.

Oh, and Kirby Puckett hitting that game winning homerun in the bottom of the 9th on game 6 was pretty awesome too :D

The magic is back!

A's fan here.

i didn't think the A's could prolong the streak in Minnesota. good luck, mulder and zito are pitching next. :) there will be no sweep from the twinkies.

Hahahahhaaa
The A's manage to only have a 2 game lead over the Angels after their 20 game winning streak. :)

the A's were in 3rd place when the streak began so being only 2 games ahead isn't that bad. the streak also took away from what the angels did. i think they were like 16-4 during the streak. angels are one of the most under rated teams, as garret anderson is one of the most under rated players. he has been very consistent. though the angels are a division opponent, i usually root for them hope they take the wildcard, scary to think what they could have done if glaus wasn't having such a subpar season.

hopefully A's win the pennant and angels get the wild card. let the yankees deal with the angels and a's will beat up the twins and let the ALCS decide the AL west...haha

After the Twins the A's play the Angels and the Mairners. Going to be quite a long stretch ;) They have a stretch of like 17 games w/o a break :Q

yup...the AL West is going to be a great race.

hopefully the Giants can beat out the Dodgers in the NL West. D'Backs lead is only 4.5 games now. so that might get interesting too.

my next game: Sept 14. Seattle @ Oakland - Bucket Hat day!!!

Heh...the A's had a incredible record breaking run. They are #1 in the power rankings now with the 3rd cheapest salary. What a great way to strut into this interesting stretch.

I'm headed to Pac Bell park to see the Giants vs. D-Backs on sunday.

What do you expect when you have to play the Twinkies in that Supersized Garbage Bag they call a stadium (although after looking at some of their fans a garbage bag does seem appropriate)

Here in Minnesota its affectionately known as "The Homer Dome" or "The Dome." It may not be the greatest place to play, but it they say its the best home field advantage in the mlb.

The a's are a great team, its all in good fun.
