Cable internet access, that is!

It's so bloody cool, I can't contain myself! I went out to get some lunch at Leeann Chin, came back home, and the little ?cable? light in on the cable modem! I had it installed yesterday, but they couldn't get a signal. Well it?s working now! I get free (sub)basic cable, too! The installer guy was super cool and spliced my TV in for me. No MTV or Discovery, but what the hell, I'm not complaining, I'll take it!

I had a good time at Leeann Chin. Now I know it's not real Chinese food, or even all that good, but they have Kimlan soy sauce. It's the best soy sauce I've ever tasted. I was flirting with the girls who worked there and they gave me like 2 pounds of those awesome little Kimlan packets.

Yes, roadrunner is nice.. but lord help you if you have problems that can't be solved by the flowchart yiddiots. Grrr, been 6 months now, and still having the same damn issues I had to begin with (signal dropping every so often to all the f-in time for like 20 seconds each time.. makes playing CS and stuff a pain.)

Road Runner has the best service... my cable modem wasn't working properly once and I called TimeWarner at 6pm on a Sunday... they had a tech guy at my house within an hour and he replaced my modem on the spot with a brand new one! I was up and running in no time!

Sorry to hear you've been having trouble with RoadRunner. I haven't yet because it's only been on for like an hour. I hope my experience is rockin'. Time will tell.

I haven't tried gaming yet. I will tonight, but I have to get some non-computer related work done.

Man, this connection gives a whole new meaning to the term "pop-up ad." I can't stop them before they load anymore, LOL!

EDIT: Oops, wanted to mention DSL reports just tested me at about 1500 down/300 up (Kbps). It that any good? Windows Update just loaded like 8 MB in under a minute. I'm still smiling. 🙂
