I did want to get an 8800 GTS but since the G84-86 are right around the corner, ill "settle" with the 7950 until then. Even though I dont plan on utilizing true SLI, I wanted the overclocking features as well as 1333 FSB support. What ya think?

cpu: awesome
mobo: dunno, looks good though
memory: never heard of the dominator series, but im sure its good since its corsair and you have DDR2-800
video: awesoem
hd: awesome, is it sata or ide?
audio: great, beware of drivers
heatsink: great
case: your choice, but i like it as well
psu: great

8800 is too expensive in my opinion. you need to have a "high-end" monitor (at LEAST 1600x1200/1680x1050) or else it isnt worth it.

great system! lets hope that mobo has good overclocking (which im sure it does!)

Memory: I would have gone with some TeamGroup DDR2-800.
Hard Drive: Should have gone with the 320GB or 500GB versions that were on sale.
Heatsink: Scythe Infinity ftw.

my opinion...

cpu: Nice!! i think the eE6400 is better bang for the buck
mobo: SoSo...Too buggy at the moment..hope you like being the guinea pig
memory: OK...there is better ram with better track record on Intel system for same amount of money
video: Good for the price...not going SLI is a waste when you overpay for the 680i
hd: Nice...I like the Seagates...have many
audio: no comment...I thought the onboard sound of the 680i was supposed to be the bomb!!!
heatsink: Not great...bad choice IMO
case: your choice, but i like it as well
psu: Excellent...At least you dont have to worry about this being a limiting factor

Well I have a buddy with almost the same setup and he has a wickid stable overclock with this memory and board. Though the memory lists at $315 it has a $40 rebate as well as a $20 dicount combo with the mobo.

Even though it would have been only $15 more than the 250GB SATA-II, I seriously dont require that much storage space. I have my OS, maybe 2-3 gigs of music and usually 2-3 games installed at a time. I figured I would put that $15 into the RAM.

And, as far as the audio is concerned, I use headphones 90% of the time and my previous board had the same on-board sound as the eVGA(which gave me trouble in a few games) I kinda just picked the X-Fi simply because I usually dont experience problems with Creative hardware.
