I moved to Davis this weekend.
I can now park my car in a garage. I haven't had a single SUV park outside my window blasting crappy rap music so everyone within 1/2 a mile can hear it. I haven't seen anyone driving around with spinners on their car, especially not people living in crappy apartments. No one sits on the walkway to my door yelling at e3ach other. There isn't cigar smoke wafting in through my open window. I haven't seen anyone standing around looking like they want to steal my stuff.

And that's just in the first three days.

It's so nice not living in a ghetto. 🙂
 
Congrats! I've never been to Suckramento but I don't need to visit a garbage dump to know it's a smelly disgusting place that I wouldn't want to go.
 
Too bad you're living in Davis now. Home of the crazy ecofreaks, or as PCU said it, "causeheads". They'll protest your Mustang. (they will on the however, drive up in an Excursion to do it). Atleast with your own home you can have a hose ready to spray them with, and they won't shoot you for doing it like in LA.

Davis?! That place is filled to the brim with hippies! I used to live in Woodland, and every time I took a trip to Davis it was as bad as visiting Berkley!

Ok, I guess I should clarify:
I grew up in Santa Cruz. Hippies and Tree-Huggers don't bother me. They don't steal my stuff or beat people up. Sure, they're eccentric, but they're harmless. Ever hear of anyone getting mugged by a hippie?

Is he at the same place paying for full rent, did he move, etc.?
