Glock 19

I had to take a 30 question written test thanks to California's new laws. It had challenging problems along the lines of "true or false, it is safe to hold a loaded gun to your head."

Now I just gotta wait 10 days :( I'm signed up for a tactical training class on the 9th, hopefully I'll learn a lot.

I've had one for ten years, got it after I got attacked with a .357. It jams easily if you shoot it goofy so practice well.

I perfer this one, it's a little heavy on the recoil but packs quite a punch. Practice often and keep it clean, this goes for the pistol too.

Well, how would you have felt had you just walked in, handed them your money, and walked out with a gun and ammo? I think a PITA is worth it if it keeps just anyone walking in from the street from owning a gun. ;)

Congrats and best of luck on the road to safe and smart gun ownership and self defense.

I am glad to see that you've signed up for the Tactical Training Class. They'll teach you basic safety and skills and then some. ;)

Welcome to the fold.

I tried it and nearly came out of my shoes :) Too big for a beginner like me.

Thanks. I took a 2-hour training class at LAX Range a couple weeks back. It was really good. It was just me and the instructor, for $90 we went through all the basics and safety for single and double action revolvers and semi-autos. Then he instructed me on the range as I tried out a bunch of different guns. Time and money well spent I thought.

So people with bad aim buy glocks.
