And I even got a line of credit of $25k. I got my line of credit at a 4.75% and my 1st at 6.50%. We are happy campers now. Anyone else getting in on the great rates?

I just hope these rates stay this low until September, when I will most likely need to close on my new house. Since it's still being built I can't quit lock the rate.

BTW, did you go from a 30 to a 15 year note. If not, how many years had you been paying before you refi'd?

I don't really have enough time left on the mortgage to justify paying for a refi, and it's only 6.5% so I'm not getting killed.

But for most people, this is the chance of a lifetime!

We refi'd at 6.7% a year or so ago. Knocked about $200 off each month's mortgage payment.:)

I went from a 30 year 8.25% fixed to a 30 year 6.50% fixed. I've been in the house for a little or 2 years. Hope that answers all your ? CPA

Unless you're like me, can't afford a house because you have too many toys in your house.

Nice.. my sister just refinanced her house at 6.50% also. I am in the process of refinancing mine also. My current one is at 6.75%, I am hoping to get something below 6.50% with 0 point.

If I had no other cc or car debt
If the cc limit was $10,000 - $15,000
If the cc APR were 0% for at least 5 years

Then I might consider doing that, until then I'll continue renting instead of owning :(
