OMG.. Cable kicks a$$!!! I'm like download stuff at 400kbps and for the longest time.. my phone line is not busy!!!

I remember the day I got broadband.... 🙂. I had to go back to 56k one day, since I had to do a project, and my internet was down... man..... I can't believe I ever waited that long for ANYTHING.
 
Broadband rules. I was stuck on a 56k modem with bad lines forever, now I have this DSL and I love it. I never realize just how much faster it is until I use my parents computer with their 56k modem. Ouch!! And they don't even want DSL. I offered to buy a router and hook them up too, if they split the cost with me, and they say, "We don't need all that speed, we're happy with what we have." Ok, more for me!!
 
i was on broad band when cable rolled out at home last summer. we measured 400k/sec downloads and sustained 3.1 megabits/sec. But then we had to move from our house since we bought a new one and its 56k there again. At least i'm at college and we still have college net access, but its not quite that fast
