Our raises have been postponed until Q4, if they occur at all. And we also had a round of layoffs that concluded today.

buy real rice in bulk (alternator size is acceptable) if you have a rice cooker... you're paying like 200% more for rice per ounce if you buy the boxes

By all account I am a rice-n00b. I am buying things like wild rice and ones with a hint of flavors etc. for now to pair up with vegetables.

I've been hitting up some really nice area restaurants once a week and I can't stand the crappier stuff.

<--has learned the first lesson of cooking. WANT to eat at home. Don't worry, I'm really digging it and it is so easy that I'll moved to auto-parts sizes soon enough

$40 dollars a month to keep you quiet? You're either really cheap or weren't much of a whistle blower.

you live, you learn, you realize that there is more to life than some BS to die a martyr for and move forward. there are more important things... I never capitulated however.

final statement on the subject:

The fact is that it is over and since I was ignored I did the most appropriate thing and took care of my sh!t. They will probably never understand the magnitude of what I did for them so I won't pretend that they absolutely need me, but I know enough to stop worrying about that now. I am glad to have a stable job in this economic climate, I work very hard to keep it, and that is that. I have no reservations in believing that I am a great asset to them. Also, the experience and calmness I have received and likewise developed due to 0-day threats that one normally doesn't HAVE to face is something that I can always take with me.

the 3% is just more money to pay the bills🙂 I won't be greedy during in such a shitty economic client.

one final time:
<--for the sake of his job and his sanity he took care of everything, never admitted fault with what he did even in front of the harshest judges... I stepped up and that's that.

/non-noodle or rice discussion

There is what I make for myself with tender loving care, there is what I eat for lunch when I forget to make myself lunch, there is the tasty stuff I go out for, and then there is the sh!t i won't go near...

Red Lobster is in the last category...

<---not THAT desperate
