Woohoo! Awesome overclock on Ti450

I just finally contstructed my system, and was successfully able to overclock my Gainward GS Ti450 to 255/525...haven't tried higher yet, so who knows what the limits are 😀 Those speeds gained me a 3dMark2001 score of 8643. I'm working on an Athlon 1800+ XP, a 512mb stick of Mushkin PC2100 DDR, and an IBM Deskstar 60GXP 60GB HDD running off an EpoX Ep-8KHA+ mobo.

Yeah Gainward's chips have good overclocking potential! Their false-marketing (it's really a high-yield overclocked Ti200) is actually justified, as their o/c potential is very high (over Ti500 levels!)

I would say its more a re-packaged original geforce 3

I have a gainward classic Geforce 3 and it doesn't hit those levels. I'd bet on a newly manufactured chip any day.

Just did a search on Madonion for GF2/Pro/Ti Cards running XP 1700-2000, and the highest default score was 6928. You may have gotten a higher score @ a lower resolution. The highest score was achieved by an EPOX 8KHA+ @ 180 FSB.

I've had pretty good results with mine aswell. I got up to 251/510 with stock cooling. Then I got a crystal orb and a card cooler and I got to 251/510 again 🙁 no higher. But with the cooler I feel pretty comfortable leaving it at 240/500 all day long.

I believe he's talking about a Geforce3 Ti 200.

I believe he states it is a Ti450?

Rigs sig has a GF3Ti200 in it, but he is saying he finally finished his system??

What card are you really running here??

Yep, these GF3 Ti200 Gainward GS's are great!
(Actually is a Ti200, but rated by Gainward as Ti450).
Started overclocking mine with coolbits, but it easily does that.
Then you use another overcloking utility like NVmax.
Started low, ran 3dm2k1 as test, then bumped higher.
And higher, and higher, and higher, and it's like this card is unreal.
Then it finally locks up.
So crank it down a tad, and retest. Then run loops to confirm stability.

End "STABLE" results: 262 core - 561 memory.
3dm2k1 results
3dm2k1 score of 7382 using 1 GHZ T-bird at 148x9.5 (1406MHz), and
Epox 8Kta3Pro.

For comparison, my Visiontek GF3 Ti200 will max out at 230 core, 515 mem, 6970 3dm2k1.
But for a card that only cost me $99 compared to the $150 GS cost, that's not too bad.

My visiontek gf3 overclocked to those levels rather easily.

Then again, It cost me 320 dollars when I bought it.

The gf4 4400 I ordered was only 235. Im happy =)
Hopefully it will overclock to 4600 levels, though I doubt it.
