This is a 8" quarter circule cut that needs to be made. I have the jigsaw already as previously mentioned... though the steady hand is lacking most the time. These are just under-supports for a bench running along the wall (think 3/4" MDF square board with a 8" qtr circle cut out of the corner).
I was originally thinking the jigsaw method, but I dont have a belt sander (just a 4" orbital).
