Woodworkign question

I have a small project that requires a few 8" radius cuts to be made.
I don't want to break the bank on this project so whats the easiest, most cost effective way to create decent looking (read: doesn't need to be PERFECT) radius cuts?

Pending on the depth and size of board; jigsaw, coping saw, reciprocating saw, dremel, chisel, drill (series of holes along the edge), circular saw (cut out center, square cut, then raise the blade to just thicker than board depth and follow the radius outline).

Best method: plunge router with circle jig
cheapest method: draw a circle, drill a starter hole and use a jig saw

Draw the radius cut line. With a jigsaw, cut on the OUTSIDE of the line about 1/8th inch. Use a belt sander, held vertically to the plane of the board, to grind up to the line. Finish off with some hand sanding. You may want to practice some with the belt sander.

This is a 8" quarter circule cut that needs to be made. I have the jigsaw already as previously mentioned... though the steady hand is lacking most the time. These are just under-supports for a bench running along the wall (think 3/4" MDF square board with a 8" qtr circle cut out of the corner).

I was originally thinking the jigsaw method, but I dont have a belt sander (just a 4" orbital).

1/4 circle outside cut can be done with a circular saw in a few seconds. Adjust the depth gauge to allow blade just past the thickness of board and then cut away.

Even with all the tools in the world, I'm not sure I'd venture past a jigsaw personally, but I'm fairly handy with one. But to be honest, if I did have all the tools in the world, then a CNC router would probably do the trick.

Anyway what is your project?

I can cut speaker enclosures with a jigsaw and a proper line. It's not perfect but works, I cut inside the line and then sand it to the proper fit.

If you are doing these regular a router or dremel with a circle jig for the win.

Jig saw. Really the only way unless you have a really nice band saw available.

EDIT: If the radiuses are short enough, you could make several cuts horizontally and smash them out with a hammer. You would then also need a chisel and some sand paper.
