The projection of skin-covered cartilage in front of the meatus of the external ear.
Any of the hairs growing at the entrance to the meatus of the external ear.
toph99, it's your tragus (heheh, that sounds funny. Kinda like the, "Aherm...ummm...sir? Your epidermis is showing," joke) but, what posessed you to get that pierced? I'm kinda confused why people get body piercings. 😕
well i liked how they looked, and it was an interesting piercing. i wanted to see what it felt/looked like 🙂 my girlfriend has both of her's done and i liked them, so i figured "what the hell" 😉
Owwwweeeeee!!!! I just looked at that picture, and I don't know about you guys, but I have a pretty girthy tragus. That's a lot of cartilage to punch through. It makes me cringe thinking about having something punch through that.
vi_edit:
i have a thick tragus too, which was why i heard the crunching sound when the needle popped through 🙂 you're so high on endorphines that you don't feel a thing 😛
I've heard it hurts like hell since it's all cartilage, especially for the next few days. I think it's one of the coolest looking piercings though, so it's cool by me 🙂
