I've been wanting a cheap screened ipod for podcasts for a long time now. I love lots of podcasts, I rarely ever listen to music. This will be great 🙂

I'd rather have the 4gb for $229 or 30gb Ipod video for $280.
 
I was coming close to getting the 1 gig shuffle for it's original price. So at this price I feel good about it. It will be a lot less pain to sync my podcasts and stuff.
 
he didnt get ripped off. it caters to a different market. i love my nano and wouldnt get one of those big fatty videos if my life depended on it. i cant feel my ipod in my pocket and thats how i want it. if i want to watch movies i will do it on my computer. i dont need an FM tuner because it sounds like sh!t anyway. you people with your "ipod suxors@!!!" bullsh!t need to STFU because it is awesome for the people who have a use for it.

you can continue to use your irivers and whatever else is out there, but the nano is superior for my needs. go give your dad a rusty trombone if you dont like it.

I too purchased the new nano. Struggled with getting the 2gb or 4gb model, but the wife only plans on using it while working around the house or exercising. A gig of songs is plenty for that.
