I thought a was new? Isn't it the dual thingie up to 108mbps? That's what the router supports.

Using the highest WEP encryption I can. 156-bit

BTW, it's a WGU624

Bah what a junky router. I just got one a couple days ago (WGU624). It is the worst router I have bought to date. This POS just keeps freaking DYING for NO apparent reason and the only way to get it working again is to unplug it and plug it back in. Also, if you change any settings for the router it will reboot and make EVERYONE on it lose connection. MSRP of $100 is a complete rip off.
Get a D-Link or better yet, a Linksys router. Those are solid routers.

I couldn't believe how many unsecure networks there are in my new neighborhood.

I thought I was going offline for a week while I waited for Ameritech to get me DSL, but I didn't need to sweat it ;)

When'd you get it? $35 seems expensive for a basic non-turbo 802.11g router. I got our Belkin 802.11g router for $5.99 after MIR and it's been flawless even in mixed 802.11b/802.11g traffic.

I bought the Belkin F5D7230-4for my sister and her boyfriend, their first wireless router. She thinks I spent $70, LOL more like $5.99 ;)

I heard it's on sale this week for $29.99 out the door with no rebates.

I'm still using 802.11b and I can't decide between the Belkin or Linksys WRT54GC.

The Linksys is easier to modify and hack, but if you just need no-fuss wireless connectivity, the Belkin is hard to ignore. Our router is upstairs in my roommate's closet and I still get a strong signal anywhere in the house or out on the back deck.

Quite a while ago. I really came to want this router after all the reviews I read. The only place that puts this router on sale is B&M Fry's. So I splurged.
