yup i just got 6 little fish in the mail. they seem to have survived the trip ok

incase anyone is interested they are melanochromis johanni
my wife and i already had a couple and we wanted a few more for our other tank but couldnt find them locally

here is a pic of one of the ones we already had hehehe just in case you care which i really doubt any of you do

How have you been doing with the brackish water fish?

Ah an African Cichlid keeper! Now that's what I like to hear! I have two African tanks, a 100 gallon Malawi tank, and a 60 gallon with a breeding pair of Neolamprologus Brichardi. The fish are going to go through some stress soon. We are recarpting the house, so they have to be moved for a bit.

as for the brackish water we havent had much problem, it stays pretty stable at a ph of 8

and yup i do like the african cichlids, all 3 of our tanks are malawi cichlids

It's tough to find places that have nice selections of African Cichlids. I used to work at a place that had a huge devoted African section, with the fish seperated into sections by lake, Tanganyika, Malawi, and Victoria (smallish section). We had everything when I worked there. Too bad they went out of business. Made it tough to find good cichlids locally.

me too, all six (only ordered 5, i think they added one incase one dies on the way) but all of them were in their own little plastic bag sealed in a Styrofoam container about 1 foot square.
