woo hoo day off!

Another reason I hate my job

I work for a company on the Connecticut shore. Gerenal Dyanmics, Electric Boat corp. It's been around for over 100 years. In those 100 years, there have been 2 paid closings where the weather was so bad they actually clsoed down for a day and paid the employees for the day off. They would rather have their employee's risk their lives or simply do four 10 hour days.

It's total horse sh!t.

Once again, corporate America drops a terd on the foreheads of their employees.

Oh, they are nice though. They will be sending out an e-mnail tommorrow sayign their will be no disciplinary action for those that didn't come in on Wednesday. That's fairly standard. They also mention in that e-mail that you are expected to work 40 hours or use vacation time.

That's pretty typical for companies. I'm at work today, it's snowing pretty hard out. I left a little early to get here on time. I work in the Hartford Area in CT.
