Won't start

Hi all, I have an 87 trans am ty that up till last night ran great. This morning it won't even crank, no power what so ever. We tried jumping it, no help. It has a new battery, so that shouldn't be it. My dad and I changed the brakes yesterday but that's all we did. Any ideas???

Do you have a volt meter?
If so check the battery voltage.
Clean the battery terminals.
Check the connection at the starter.

No power at all sounds like a connection problem with the battery. Unhook the cables, clean the terminals and connectors and reattach. I would also check the battery with a voltmeter to make sure that isn't part of the problem.

If all else fails take it to the GeekSquad. They'll figure it out.

+1 OPs 1st post on a tech related site for a 30 year old car with very generic details. I would have asked a trans am forum instead. If he/she were an older member, then I'd believe it.

Why? It's a very basic car, nothing special. Certainly anyone with basic car knowledge could offer advice on it.

Would like to see if the OP posts back what the problem was.
