My computer was working fine then the next morning it stopped doing the memory count and will not go past it. I've tried removing all non essentials and it goes no further. I've tried each stick in the first slot individually and tried both in the 3rd and 4th slot no combination worked. I cannot enter the BIOS to check settings and resetting the BIOS has done no good. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just press ESC and it will cancel, and there is a setting within the bios, that you can stop the memory counting. If you can get into the BIOS.

Please provide more details on the specs of your system.
