Can some one please help

Just bought p4 3ghz 800mhz bus, 512ram, abit ic7-g motherboard and a new serial ata harddrive. I had seen the windows screeen a few times but i was have some trouples. I alterded some stuff in the bios, but now I can't even get it to turn on. I tryed moving the jumper position to reset the bios but it's not working

All the help would be very appretiated...

try unplugging the pwr supply and removing the cmos battery
for 10 minutes or so. once in the bios set it to fail safe.

Which Windows OS?? what ram??


 
Hi thanks so much for the help, I think it was possible the 12v connector that may have done it. I just ended up removing everything but the cpu.

New problem though, the resolution is too high and I can't start up in regular mode. I'm in VGA mode right

Ok, here's what to do about the VGA mode:

1) make sure that your video card has its auxiliary power plugged in, if it is one of the models that needs auxiliary power (GeForceFX, Radeon 9500, 9700, etc).

2) while in VGA mode, go through the motions of setting the resolution to 640 x 480 pixels, and then reboot and it should be able to start normally so you can set the resolution to what you want.
 
I figured it out. I had the bios agp set to 1x instead of 4x. I don't know what that means, but I changed it to 4x and now it works perfect
