Won't boot! blank screen

Hey all, I could use a little help. I have a htpc at home that is having problems. i started upgrading from windows xp to MCE 2005, and when it restarted after copying install files, all i get is a blank screen. It gives the post beep as normal upon bootup. however, after it is done booting, if i hold down the power button for 1 second it will turn off. (i would usually have to hold it for 5 seconds, so its as if it never booted).

the specs are:
dual p3 proc
4 x 80gb ide drives in raid 0
radeon 7000 pci
chaintech av-710 sound card

i have also removed the video card, and tried remoting into the pc, and accessing the mapped drives, but no luck. it seems like it just isn't booting into windows.
any ideas? maybe one of the hd's in raid0 failed?
thanks in advance for any help!!

actually, there might be something to your idea about raid 0
Try to do a clean install with the raid 0 drives.
After that and still errors out, try to check the harddrives for problems

well..the thing is, i dont get any display on my monitor. i tried to boot directly from a windows disk, but there is nothing on the screen to go by. im stumped.

im starting to think its not the hard drives, b/c it doesnt matter whether they are all disconnected or not, i still get a blank screen.

I am having a similar issue.
The computer goes to a black screen but I get a message about it is looking for
a pci.sys file.

The comp worked the day before with no problems.
I have changed boot order ,tried loading file from a CD but it is as if nothing
is seen by the cpu.

The idea by HauntFox was next on my list.
