Wondering Mouse Pointer

I am wondering if anyone has seen this. My mouse pointer will begin creeping in one direction on its own. It seems like this has started since instal of xp sp2. I am seeing this on both my home and work systems, both with sp2 and is seems like it started after install. One mouse is an optical the other a regular analog. Any thoughts?

adjust the sensitivity of the mouse (must be turned on too high which could cause creeping...)

Mine has done that for 3 years with win 98. Reformating never even helped it. The cursor creeps and takes off on its own. Dont have winxp though.
