Unpossible! Superman movies are, without fail, utterly awful.
Superman is the worst superhero ever.

Except for 'Superman Returns' of course, I'm pretty sure everyone agrees.

<ducks incoming bricks>

Seriously, I like that film. It took the dullest superhero and turned his vulnerability into the linchpin for all the major characters to be something more than dull humans waiting to be rescued.

Yeah I've been saying this since forever. Superman is a joke character, making a serious movie about him is just ridiculous. The old campy movies were perfect.

Everyone has different tastes in movies, I like this type of movies and I would like to know if this movie is worth seeing in the cinema or to wait for it to come out on blue ray or DVD?

Well, i just got back from the theater watching this. I would definitely say it's worth watching there instead of waiting for blu-ray. Sound effects will shake you at times and the 3D effects were very good. Also, it's just a great movie overall.

7 / 10

Buildup and initial war scenes were good but the ending was a real letdown.

Acting was ok albeit not stellar but some of the CG was Spider-Man-esque - a little cheesy at times. But then again other times the animation was awesome.

Overall this is not on par with Nolan's Batman movies IMO but it's better than many superhero movies. Vs this year's other superhero movies it is not as good as Logan either but Logan is a completely different style so it's hard to compare.

I'll get this on Blu-ray if it comes with an Atmos track. If not I'll probably still eventually get it because I'm sure the audio will still be good. The sound in the theatre I went to was just mediocre though. BTW, I saw it in 2D.

Acting was great, storyline was meh, special effects were horrible for 2017. Gal is undeniably a great Wonder Woman, but the rest of everything was just ok. Pales in comparison to Superman or Iron Man movies.

Nope. While not as good as first Iron Man, it wasn't that much worse. And Superman? Lol.

And what was wrong with the effects? I don't remember anything particularly bad that jumped out at me.

As far as DC movies go this was head and shoulders above their recent efforts. I'd give it a solid B.

Now that Snyder's hands are off Justice League lets see if Whedon convert it into something watchable.

She hits $100m and more, latest update have it over 103m for the weekend.

Interested in seeing how much it maintains through the 2nd weekend, and what effect this has on editing of justice league.

Every time she jumped it looked fake, because it was, but still, she looked rubbery as did her jumping. She looked like a giant flea.
The fighting sequences on the beach were superb, but the jumping and jump/flying were just horribly created.

Superman is, and always will be, the best superhero. You should feel bad for not liking him or his movies.

From what I read, it sounded like Whedon wasn't doing much more than filling in for Snyder after his daughter's suicide. In other words, he wasn't going to take the movie and make it into his own image, but rather try to work in Snyder's vision.

nah, Superman is definitely the worst superhero ever. I think MoS was great though. Definitely made him interesting for the first time ever.

I know some people complained a bit about Pa Kent suggesting that Clark let people die, but I didn't think it was a bad thing. Maybe they just didn't write it as well as it should have been, but I mean... the idea was that Pa was afraid that he wouldn't be able to keep Clark's identity a secret and what would happen if things got out. It was a father's struggle with trying to do what's right by others and what's right by his family.

so ww being able to go toe to toe w/the monster that killed superman didn't affect the expectations of this movie at all?
(her invulnerability vs ww1 era weaponry)

she's not invulnerable. she was clearly wounded early on but healed overnight. she doesn't seem to be as tough as supes (bullets not bouncing off etc) which is something from the comics I don't like. character can take a nuke to the face and walk it off but gets an ouchie from a bullet.

Wonder Woman was great for me... yes some of the special effects were meh by today's standards.

But Patty Jenkins did a fantastic job giving the actors the space and motivation to give for a comic book movie outstanding performances.

Definitely much better than Man of Emo... erm Steel.

There's six months till release, that's a lot of time for final editing and testing cycles.
