From what I've seen (I don't have one personally), it's a good $20 case if you're needing one and you like the design. I wouldn't pay the $60 that web site shows it for, though.

I've used several similar cases in the past - my main complaint is that there were no holes on the front, so mounting a front fan does not do much. The only draw is from the bottom, and if the case is on carpet, that's blocked too.

never really liked those premod cases. it's decent for a cheap build, but if you want a quality case, it's gotta be aluminum for starters. but yea, the company that makes those, aspire, ain't all that great. lot of cheeesy cases imho.

I have used a few similar to this one also. Looks like airflow won't be a problem on this one though (case front has air intake holes)
Here are better pics: NewEgg photos

I would suggest that, before installing anything, you should cut out all the holes where the fans mount and buy 6 "good" fans w/grills and you will get enough airflow for even an overclocked system.
Setup the front and side fans as intake, and the rear and top fans as exhaust.

And yeah...pick up a new PS also.

eh i don't like cases without doors, they look silly once a drive is installed. cooling looks adequate i guess. but not great... a rear fan and a top exhaust?? blowholes are last resort, they are noisy. fan holes ...can't see in pic too small... can't judge but for free i guess ok.

not always. My roommate won a case with 6 fans...2 in front, 2 in back, one on the side and one on top. It's actually one of the quieter cases I've heard...much quieter than my Antec with 3 fans.

The X-Dreamer II has two pre-stealthed 5.25" bays for optical drives, and one for a 3.5" floppy drive as well. So no door is required. I like it like that, I prefer not having to mess with a door. The bays work great once you get your drives aligned properly, though that'll really depend on your particular drive(s) button layout. There's also a little strip of translucent plastic in the bay so you can see your optical drive's LED, a nice touch.

Like mentioned above, the case has mounts for 6 fans. I've got all filled except for one of the rears and it keeps my overclocked Barton cool enough. 44-50C with Seti running depending on what I have the a/c set at. However, it definately runs warmer than my old lightly modded Enlight 7237 that I was replacing (cut out fan grills, enlarged front bezel holes, 80mm fan modded to sit in 2 empty 5.25" bays).

I think it could really benefit from cutting out the stock fan grills. The ventilation holes in the lower front could use some enlarging, but I'm not sure if you could drill them out without screwing up the look of the acrylic front.

The temp LED on the front is kinda cool, though you're stuck with fahrenheit. Celsius isn't an option. Also, if you keep your case on the floor or in a low desk compartment you won't be able to see the LED. The viewing angle is too steep, I have to lean down to see it. It's plenty bright however, and the probe itself is thin enough to fit in most places.

Overall I like the case and it's definately a nice score for free. I think the overall build quality could be higher, but for what is a normally $65 case (after shipping) it's acceptable.

Front - Side - Temp LED - Window

Damn, that turned out to be a mini-review...

I was about to buy one of thsi case. becasue this case u can put many fans in it.

i believe u can put a total of 8 fans.

bad thing, it has a acrylic plastic in front, this could make the case a little worse in ventilation. and the case is made of metal.

good thing, a wider case, good looking and side panel, and the best is u can put a fan on the side panel without modding it urself.

I am now struggling if i should mod my case to put a fan on the side.

anyways, i love this case too!!!

Anymore I always buy Panaflos.....
My personal rig has the same fan setup as yours and I have tried several fan configurations.
I have settled on 3 Panaflo H1A's (2-rear, 1-side) and 3 L1A's (2-front 1-top)
I have my CPU fan and the 3 H1A's on a fan controller and when I turn them down my comp is almost silent.

The fans closest to your seating position will give you the most noise, so I have my console placed left of my monitor. (because of overclocking I didn't want to put a low volume fan on the side hole.)

remember cutting out the stock fan grills and putting ones like this will increase your airflow without adding more noise.

i had that exact same case. it has 2 fans in it already, 1 is on top, the other on the side. there decent case fans. you won't need anything else unless you plan on OCing it or something.
it has a thermal lcd display, and comes with cd/dvd drive covers to match the case.
not a bad case at all.... i would sell it if i won it (sold mine), but that's only because there's no room for modding it at all....
