I know my mom wants some driving gloves for Christmas, nothing crazy, just something like these:

I'm pretty sure she would not want them to be long or go much past her wrist. Cost isn't too important; I'd rather them be expensive and quality and lasting than something cheap and mediocre.

Does anyone know of any that are particularly good? I was just going to go through Amazon's search results but figure I'd ask here in case someone had bought some that were good or their wife had some that were good or something like that. Thankee

I don't have any recommendations but this brought up a funny experience I had about 15 years ago. My bro-in-law and I were getting gas and noticed an older lady (probably 75+) with one of those hats that has the feathers sticking up and like mesh covering up half her face finishing up in some kind of Mercedes. She was dressed like the lady from 101 Dalmations sort of. She stood there with her door open for a sec and we noticed she was putting her gloves back on. She slowly got in her car, started it, and shit you not peeled out of the pump, onto the street and drifted a bit making a turn. We just looked at each other with our jaws dropped.

Don't be ridiculous...wimmenz aren't allowed to drive...and will never be. It's just too much for their dainty little brains.

No specific brand to suggest however I would say look for deer-skin rather then cow leather and also go to a store for a little hands-on lol. Also might consider a pair that offers touch-screen friendly fingertips.

Stay away from anything that has a fabric/slippery palm.

well...hell, if this is actually a serious thread...I agree that deerskin gloves are softer than cowhide, will probably last longer...if they're well made...but don't confuse "expensive" with well made. All too often, it's the fancy brand name that drives the price up, not the quality. Isotoner IS the standard "go to" chr this kind of gift, but IME, their stuff isn't particularly well made.

Haha, yep Boomer it's a srs thread.

So deerskin hey? And yeah going in person to a store would be a good idea. We have a huge ass mall by me, I'm guessing they'd have some stores that have gloves there.

I got a pair for myself maybe two years ago and I love the things, never not gonna have some in winter time lol. Probably makes sense cause I hate cold weather more and more as I get older.

I'm also looking for driving gloves for my wife but I don't have much experience with this. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks in advance.

something like this. Yes I know it's necro.

Actually a relatively useful one with the holidays around the corner!

Although driving gloves (no matter how nice) are only a smallish notch above unwrapping a package of socks on Christmas morning in terms of disappointment!
