Women, do you ever feel you "owe" men anything after they take you out?

Quick background: met a girl a few weeks ago, had a good time that night, ended up having sex. She's moving out of town at the end of this month, and while I might visit once just to have an excuse to leave town, that's pretty much the end of the relationship. Saturday night we went out for the second time. I paid for food, drinks, etc. for both of us. Believe it or not, I am a gentleman and I never thought twice about this. She did offer to pay for drinks at one point, and I dismissed the idea gracefully - I just always feel like I should pay.

So, end of the night, she came over, we're in bed, things start to get more heated, and as I'm taking her top off, she asks if it would "be alright if we left it on tonight." Sure, whatever. I figured she was self-conscious. Then I realized she meant leave ALL her clothes on. Now my initial reaction was the typical, "Man, this sucks, I was pretty much expecting to get laid," but I didn't initially think about her "owing" me anything. Then the next day it really started to bug me. The girl is leaving in less than a month, the relationship is obviously just a fling, we've already broken this barrier, so what's the problem? Now I feel like she could have just called me to have someone there to pay for her drinks. So, again, I kind of feel like she owed me. I know how terrible that sounds and I have a hard time even thinking that, but I do.

Women, I know you think about this when you're out with guys, so you know what she was thinking. Am I wrong to think she just wanted me to pay for drinks?

Wait a minute, that's not fair! I know that when I get married I'll be denied frequently. That's part of marriage. Of all my close friends that are married, only one couple still has fairly regular sex. That's expected. This is different.

But, remember that it isn't just sex to a woman. It is more emotional so if she knows that she won't be with you much longer she doesn't want to get emotionally attached anymore than she already is.

WTF are you talking about? I had sex with this woman the first night I met her. She then called me back knowing she's leaving town. If she doesn't want to get attached, don't call back. Really easy.

She offered to pay for at least one round. It's presumptious (and senseless) to assume that it was her intention to just get some free food and drink out of you and then leave you with blue balls.

My analysis as a qualified women's studies scholar is that when she first met you, she definitely liked you, but she let her emotions get the better of her and hopped in the sack with you even though it was, perhaps, not the most well-thought-out decision on her part. But she has genuine feelings for you that haven't fworn off after a few weeks and she decided she wanted to go on a "real" date with you, not for sex, but to get to know you better so that she can evaluate her feelings and perhaps yours, and to see if perhaps she wants to try and make a long-distance thing work. And perhaps also to see if you were just there for sex by judging your reaction when she denied you.
