The two products seem to aim at the same purpose...to firm, tone, and reduce problem areas, enhancing contours and slimming the figure.

I read an article in Self about the Shiseido Body Creator giving real results, but the Clarins Body Shaper seems to be just as qualified to produce results.

Anyone know the real deal on these two?

neither, exercise till it hurts, diet till you drop and when you've exhausted these two options, the phone number of a board certified plastic surgeon.

Well, I don't think throwing your money away at the next miracle substance that doesn't work is going to be the best use of your income either. Seriously, exercise and diet is the only true way to get in shape.

honestly...there is point that you reach where you can't lose any more weight...that last 10 lbs on women is the worst. Working out is not always the answer...it helps, but this article was even addressing this same point. A skeptic went to a research center and was measured each week for four weeks on the Shiseido product, and it helped her to lose those couple of extra inches that were left, which working out could not help her lose.

The various body creams and lotions are expensive, switch to inexpensive generic moisturizers and bank the difference bettween that and the monthly cost of stuff like the Shiseido, you'll have plastic surgeon money before you know it:)

I've never tried either, but if you need it as a temporary solution (nice night out, etc.), I say go for it.
