Yeah, which is what the money was intended for originally. However, the issue becomes when people twist morality to make a quick buck.

I'm pro-choice, but this bugs me. I'll take the time to think about it in detail when I'm less tired.
 
Did you read the article? Theres no evidence yet of women gaming the system, it's just a loophole they found. Not to mention this would be a terrible way to make money, to carry a baby past 5 months then go through a ridiculously traumatic (physically and emotionally) procedure. Might as well just sell their eggs.

they don't say what percentage, but I'm willing to give a benefit of a doubt.

The article doesn't say if it was if it has ever happened just for the money, just that it is possible.But how many late term abortions are there anyways?

I just have to laugh at the people feigning horror at women getting abortions these same people want to keep legal. Are you folks part of the "I'm pro-choice on slavery but I certainly wouldn't own one myself" crowd as well?

I swear I am tempted.

But I think I've used up my 2 bans per year already. And my bans always get longer and longer...lol Last time lasted two months. 🙁 It'd probably be 3 months for something like this.

Really do you lose? Ever hear of carrying capacity? Yes we don't know what Earth's is, but there is a limit to procreation. Keeping a population stays at a certain level, but exponentially increasing our population (as we have been since industrial revolution especially) is a stupid idea. For many reasons.

Reproducing=good
Reproducing for "survival of the fittest" and uncontrollabally=horrible horrible idea.

I tried saying this earlier. I think jumping to conclusions is a trademark of forums. Loopholes in various laws and regulations are found all the time. It doesn't mean someone was discovered to be exploiting it -- just that it is found.

Lets see, have baby, get $5k and have to raise kid (on governments dime). Have abortion get $5K, live off government dime and not raise a kid. I don't know about Aust. but in the US their would be a lot less poor inter-city kids as they would have been aborted for the fast cash.

I'm pro choice because abortion should be an option if the child is going to have an abnormality or defect. The pro-lifers say that child should have a chance at living even if it means the child will live a life of pain or be a cripple.
