She should sue Walmart for this. :Q

Exactly, I mean, she was trampled by WalMart employee's after all...

Hmm, I put myself in a potentially dangerous position and was trampled by other customers... Get the Yellow Pages out, I'm gonna call me a lawyer and sue the store. Makes perfect sense

RIP 🙁

RIP????😕

Did you even read the article, or just go right to the end to get a quote to post here?:frown:

She didn't die...

Do you even know what RIP means before you posted that or did you just go right to the pwnz0r attempt in order to find fault in someone's post?

She is resting in peace in the hospital isn't she? I assume the hospital isn't having BF deals on Viagra and she isn't being trampled there too of course.

LOL at the Viagra comment... I very rarely hear RIP used in any situation but for a dead person. Of course, there's a chance you're right, but I don't think it's likely.

Besides the fact that most stores had similar offers, do they really stop selling for that price at 11AM or so? I remember a couple of years back when a similar Apex DVD was offered for $50, my local Wal-Mart had piles of it, and they remained at that price for about a week, until they were not in sight anymore...

It took that many posts to get one of these? I'm shocked ATOT, you're getting slow.

I think most people have just realized how stupid it sounds.

people are just idiots today....

At BB's BF I kept getting pushed and seeing people pushed....I finally told the guy behind me one more time and you better hope a cop can get to us fast.

Today a cabbie blocked both lanes while trying to ask for directions. I was just about to get out when he took off...I was seriously going to chase his tail down....it was about 3 mins...I told the old guy giving him directions that he needs to get a f'ing clue.

I don't allow the 'little games' people pull to slide, someone blocks me from passing them in a store with their cart I just drive through...there was a lot of that yesterday too...

Um, you're an ass.

It doesn't matter if Walmart shoppers or employees trampled her. It happened on their property. No different from a slip-and-fall case at a supermarket.

That's why WalMart has insurance. They should at least offer to pay for her medical bills.

heh well technically rest in peace doesn't mean death, but yeah that's what it's used for most often. I'm just messin anyway. Forgot the smiley, but it was implied. Much like death is implied when saying RIP, even though it doesn't literally mean death.

How is this walmart's fault? People are just stupid.

Walmart created the situation. Plus, to hype up the situation and get people into more of a frenzy, they blared a siren at the start of the shopping. Or, in other words, rather than just non-chalantly unlocking the doors and wishing people a happy holiday season, they intentionally worked at a psychological level to affect people and get them to purchase more.
Lawsuit time... most likely to be settled out of court for an undisclosed amount of money and a promise of silence about the incident.

i agree. I went to best buy and frys for BF...and the lines were orderly, and everyone was nice to each other. There was no real pushing and shoving. I said sorry something like 200 times and i recieved 200 apologies for accidental bumps. The employees were overworked, but always joking and smiling. I donno, that alone had me sold on buying a new TV at BB...and buying a whole mess of crap at frys...well, they were cheap so..umm yeah hehehe that reason too 🙂

also, the people who shop at walmart...ugh...

it's like a lowclass type of store IMO....i never go to walmart to buy third-rate products. They have half-assed employees, the stores are messy, and they don't smile back or anything. Walmart sells third-rate made-in-china crap...they have low class customers who are rude, and their employees are rude...

i speak from experience from going to 3 walmarts in the so. cal. area (city of industry, san diego, orange county ones)..they're all the same

i hate going to walmart...walmart also ruined US' economy by selling all that third-rate crap...

walmart sucks

all I have to say is Best Buy on the Black Friday was a total fire trap waiting to happen. If something broke out that needed everyone to evacuate the building it would be mass hysteria....so many paths lead to deadends of merchandise stacked up and other barriers to route traffic.

Since when is it acceptable to see going to the store as a dangerous position and my fault for doing it. Walmart is responsible for keeping the store safe becuase its thier property. As someone pointed out before this didn't happen at best buy. Sounds to me like walmart did a piss poor job at keeping the store safe. Its not like the woman was riding the bikes around the store when she got hurt.

I would be trying to find out who knocked her down if it were me, those are the assclowns who really need to be confronted.

I hate black friday and all of the histaria surrounding it.

I made one purchase yesterday...I filled my car with gas.

I like the "hysteria" surrounding BF. It reminds me of a good football game with brutal hits, blocking, and runs!!

heh me and my wife went shopping at wal-mart (about the only place to shop in town) and there was a fat lady blocking the isle with her cart. both me and my wife asked her nicely to move her cart and she just gave us dirty looks.

then a guy who was behind us just yelled out "hey lardass! get your welfare receiving fatass out of the way!" i was in shock! but she moved!

we walked by and he turned to us and said sometimes being rude is the only way to get someones attention.

I heard on the radio yesterday morning: People at Wal-Mart are not saying Happy Thankksgiving to each other! Then they cut to some white trash sounding pig yelling at someone else: If ya dont get outta ma way ahm gonna sock you one! (Please understand that this is Atlanta we are talking about)

These people are animals ! Culling of the herd is too good for them!

Peace

Well nerds shopping at BB tend to be more polite than others.
and the usual wal-mart shoppers are portrayed as either white trash, redneck, or ghetto🙂

That wasn't me, but could have been 🙂 I do not believe floating through life passively sounds like that other guy felt the same way.

Paramedics called to the store found VanLester unconscious on top of a DVD player, surrounded by shoppers seemingly oblivious to her, said Mark O'Keefe, a spokesman for EVAC Ambulance.
I guess this gives a new meaning to the statement: "You can have my DVD player when you take it from my cold, bleeding hands"

I find this whole situation quite sad. I refused to hit any "mob" type stores such as Wal-Mart or Best Buy. Just a simple trip to Office Depot was on my list. No stress at all. 😉

Well, Wal-Mart creates the hysteria by offering junk at very low prices. A $29 DVD player will draw in a lot of people who need to get one. But, they don't realize that spending $80 on one might be a much better move.
