Bergen, Norway (AHN) - In a ground-breaking case, a 24-year-old Norwegian woman has been sentenced to nine months in prison and fine after being convicted of forcing sex on a sleeping man.

According to Aftenposten newspaper, the woman, whose identity has not been revealed, was also ordered to pay NOK 40,000 ($ 6,385) to the man.

The incident took place on Jan. 4, 2004, at an apartment in Bergen, Norway. According to court documents, the man said he found the woman performing oral sex on him as he was sleeping on the couch.

The woman however said that she did indeed perform fellatio on the man but claimed he was awake and approved of what she was doing.

However the man disagrees and says that the incident scared him and subsequently caused mental anguish and psychological difficulties.

This case is garnering quite a lot attention in Norway as it is the first time a woman has solely been convicted in a rape case.

Why would a woman ever need to rape a man? Unless she's butt ugly, it can't possibly be that hard to find a dude who wants some.

WTF  He?s got to be gay.

That or the ?she? was actually a ?He-She? and more of a He in that case, and this ?He-She? was also sitting on his face.

I need more details before I can make a decision on this story. There is definitely some information missing.

Did the two have a relationship prior? If so, was it a romantic or platonic relationship? Was either of the two drinking earlier? Kissing earlier? Making out earlier? Having sex earlier? Or did this woman just break into his place and decide to do this?

here's the previous story.....sounds like she denied it at first....and it happened at her previous boyfriend's place, so the 'victim' was probably a friend of that guy. "hey buddy, she was raping me...really!"

Woman charged with raping man
A 23-year-old woman has changed her story after biological evidence on a man's underpants and penis demonstrated their physical contact. The woman no longer denies laying a finger on him but insists she has committed no crime. The 23-year-old woman told Bergen municipal court that she didn't force sexual contact on the man while he was asleep, newspaper VG reports.

"He wasn't asleep, he was awake the whole time and he gave me a smile," the woman told the court.

The incident allegedly occurred in the apartment of the woman's current partner. He was present at the time but the woman said he did not see what happened.

Prosecutor Jarle Golten Smørdal said that he is only aware of one previous conviction of a woman for rape, and that case involved the accused and two men assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

So she was a partner in an assault on another girl with two other men? Wow.
