Woman "rents" out 9-year-old to pedophile

Sick.

But seriously, what good does putting the woman in jail do beyond "getting back" at her? She'll never get custody of a child ever again, so seriously, whats the point? Spare the tax payers the expense of having to give her room and board.

Damn, she should have known better...I'd have charged at least $50 a pop.

See you sometime next year... if I bother to remember to unlock your account.

Yeah. Just take away custody from all the child abusers. That's punishment enough. They don't need to do time...especially at my expense.

Well honestly, what purpose does it serve? You're not going to rehabilitate someone like that, all you can do is get "revenge" on them by locking them up for x number of years. Better off either killing them or letting them go.

Sad thing is that girl will never recover from that. She is more likely to abuse her kids as well - which is why abuse like this should have more serious punishment. She should be locked up until menopause so that she can't reproduce.

Regarding 10 years... can't you get that by downloading a movie? Sheesh.

This isn't just about the individual, jail is a punishment and deterent for bad behaviour also of the people who haven't done anything yet, but know the consequences.

Social ethics not individual ethics.

Death is too severe. It doesn't fit the crime. But if you don't punish people like this, what will stop them from doing it again? Or stop someone else from doing it. That's like saying you don't ticket speeders because you aren't going to get them to quit speeding.

So why not kill them then? How does it help society to keep someone like that alive in a cage? And then to release them after a while, when they're even more thoroughly fvcked up?
