According to investigators, the mother had taken a mild sleeping pill. The man, identified as 39 year-old Daniel Miller, was arrested following the incident. He said he worked for the government. Four days before the attack, neighbors in the area say they saw Miller in the area on census business. The victim told police Miller had asked about their census information. She said they had already submitted the form. I'm working for the Census here in Minnesota and you are actually required to attempt to get an address' info even if they said they already sent it in. The sticking around part is legit. Now, if they have actually said no and refused to give the information, that's another thing.

eits - people are already not answering doors. Wait, I take that back. One door was already wide open - but that's because a bank had just taken the house and a contractor was changing all the locks... I went to 10 houses last Saturday and not one of them opened the door. Some were likely gone but I heard TVs and voices directly on the other side of the door at 2 houses. Oh well. It's good money to stroll around the neighborhood!

As fasr as I know they get background checks on all the temp workers. Might only be a basic one. But those with criminl records are usually not allowed to work. I bet this person was clean before this if you look him up.

Lesson learned. Census workers are just like your regular strangers. If you see the worker outside your door, talk to him through the window.

she didn't mean us directly when she said it... she probably saw more than her share of immigrants in the few days she has been going around. I'm sure she had some of those thoughts even before...

I didn't take either of those comments as underhanded slaps in the face... or if they were she failed. Some mid-50s woman... I couldn't care less what she thinks... just let me answer the questions and gtfo.
