She flipped out and started to repeatedly hit the guy. He has injuries to prove it. To get her off he hit her...once. Granted, it was a good GREAT shot, but the stupid bitch should have never hit him.

She had better be charged with something also.

I didn't say it was fair, but I still think it's right. If a woman starts "climbing your ass," be a man and walk away. As much as it may be argued, the sexes quite simply aren't equal, and that's just the reality of it.

Bullcrap. If you don't feel threatened and don't walk away, you are a chickenshit bully. Have witnesses and press charges. If there are none then take your f'n lumps and never get into that situation again.

Bullshit. There's scores of domestic abuse cases that don't get prosecuted due to your prevailing thought. Women aren't helpless, and if they're gonna play, they're gonna play by the rules. The rules say you sometimes get hurt...

Actually, the rules say not to fight. If you get hit (and aren't scared for your life, etc.), then walk away. I mean, I suppose if a girl hit me and I was honestly afraid for my life I may fight back.. but let's be honest, in reality I'd just man up, and walk away. Hitting her back just because she hit me is sophomoric.

That doesn't excuse her from hitting the guy. The guy isn't excused for hitting her, either. But if you don't want to get punched, a good rule of thumb is to not punch others, it doesn't matter if you're 4'11" and a woman, that is no pass for being violent.

As I have already said, if you legitimately fear for your life then yes, feel free to fight back. If it's a situation that I feel like I can safely walk away from, I will walk away. Your argument of "she hit me first, so I should hit her back" is nothing but childish.

Again, I've already said it, if you honestly feel that you're at risk for losing life or limb, then sure, fight back. Maybe you randomly ran into a women's boxing/mma champ, but in reality, you probably didn't.

And all you'll be doing is encouraging your attacker to try again on you or someone else. And why the fuck not? You didn't even have the balls to defend yourself and you came off looking like a complete coward. On the other hand, if you hit them back, they will think twice before trying to use violence again. See how that works? It's socially irresponsible to let anyone get away with assaulting you, regardless of their gender. And Castle Doctrine says that I don't have to fear for my life in order to defend myself. I have a right to stand my ground and fight back in any place that I have a right to be in.

I agree, assaulting someone is a behavior worthy of punishment. However, you can "defend yourself" and send the appropriate message if you're being attacked by someone significantly smaller/weaker than yourself without completely kicking his/her ass.
 
Well, if she did attack first, i can empathize with fighting back, but that was a bit disproportionate.

Yeah, I should have clarified that I don't advocate completely kicking their ass, because that will land you in jail, but this whole "just walk away, even though you're being assaulted" is complete nonsense.
