Woman killed by chainsaw to the throat.

Otsego, Mich. -- An Allegan County woman has died in a chain saw accident.

An Otsego couple were working in their yard Sunday trying to cut a tree when the man hit his wife in the neck with a chain saw.

She died at the scene of the accident, about 35 miles south of Grand Rapids.

Sheriff's Deputy David Labonde lives nearby. He tells WOOD-TV he heard a cry for help and did what he could to help.

The sheriff's department says it's withholding the couple's names until other relatives are notified. WOOD says they're in their 40s

Murder.

I've felled and cut up a lot of trees, and I don't ever recall making a cut at neck height. This definitely sounds, er, suspicious . . .

EDIT: The TV affiliate is WOOD-TV? Was this Otsego, Michigan or Twin Peaks, Washington?

I wonder if when the husband was telling the cops what happened, he ended every sentence with "Yeah... yeah, that's it!"

There was a post on fmylife today about a guy cutting down a tree, that when it fell bounced and came down on his head, resulting in a chainsaw injury to his leg.

If you could use the internet from the afterlife we'd have another post saying "today, my husband accidentally killed me with a chainsaw and is more concerned about a cut on his leg."

not necessarily murder, you can hit a hard knot when sawing through a log and if you're not holding it firm, it can kick back up hard.
