Woman has a job interview.. brings husband along.

eakers

Lifer
I was just talking to a friend of mine and she said that a woman just came in for a job interview and her husband came with her. During the interview, he stood at the door of the office she was being interviewed in and watched... then after went in there and told her everything she did wrong.

How do you feel about this? If you were the interviewer would this turn you off of hiring this person? Would you allow this guy to stare into the interview and watch like that?

I'm shocked and appaled at this behaviour. This can't be normal ANYWHERE.

i agree. that is a little ridiculous. she's being interviewed by the interviewer only, not by her husband. her husband should do practice sessions with her if s/he really doesn't feel confident.

if i was an interviewer, i wouldn't hire someone like that.

that's weird. as the interviewer, i would think the women has lack of confidence if she has to bring her husband

If I were the interviewer - I would let him stand there all he wanted... but his wife is not getting a job...

If you cant handle an interview by yourself how are you going to handle the position and every day work without full time supervision?

first post!!!

wow, shouldn't have gone for coffee...

thank you, no thank you, and take your husband home with you

I would chew the husband out for everything he's doing wrong and tell him to stay home next time, because he just lost his wife her new job.

Must have been morons.

Fixed.

Seriously, who the fvck does this. If I was the interviewer, I would have asked the husband to leave, done a half assed interview, left early and neffed.

The interviewer should have conducted the interview professionally but body language appears as if they were making a move on his wife.

I'm surprised the company allowed the guy in the door in the first place. Something very strange going on there.

If I were the interviewer (and the husband made it as far as the interviewing area) I probably would have insisted that he go wait in the lobby, and even if he did she'd be ruled out as a candidate for the position (due to weirdness) unless I was totally blown away by her ability.
