The average baby is around 7.5 lbs and 16.7 is what a kid is around the 5-9 month mark normally. That's one big ole buggar!

our 19 month old is 18 lbs. she was 17lbs. for a long time and is very small.

i bet the mother had gestational diabetes... more sugar makes it to the baby, hence bigger/fatter baby.
