Woman Gives Birth On Airplane Headed To SF

Aida Alamillo, 41, knew she was in for a long flight when she boarded a San Francisco-bound plane in Manila Monday night.

But despite being nearly nine months pregnant, the Filipino woman said she wasn't expecting what came next -- her son's birth mere hours before the Boeing 747 landed.
"I didn't expect I would have a baby there...it just happened," she said today from her room at the Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame, where she and her newborn were transported upon landing in San Francisco.

The fact that a woman was granted entry into the United States within 10 days of her due date is inexcusable.

Let me rephrase.
The fact that she was granted a VISA is inexcusable.

I'm unfamiliar with what is involved in a VISA application. Is the applicant physically examined for signs of pregnancy? Is there a rule or regulation pertaining to this that wasn't followed here? Just trying to understand who may have screwed up.

That gives me a wicked idea, yo. If I'm ever reincarnated as a Chinese or east Indian woman, I'll come to America on a student visa, slut it up and pop out a kid. Trying to marry someone is for suckers.

Hmm, my guess is if you're reincarnated as a woman but still remember this plan of yours, then you remember who you were before, meaning you'd probably not want to sleep with men but probably would spend quite a lot of time fondling yourself. It's quite a flaw in your evil plan.

I could probably put up with men if I were a woman. Taking cock in your newly discovered vagina even though you don't like cock is probably comparable to ramming your cock into a man's ass. Close your eyes and pretend it's a sheep?

Anyway, this is not about how many cocks I can take or how many sheep I screw. It's about having kids while using a student visa.

"birth tourism" is a booming industry around the world.

I see then. Thank you for clarifying that in as graphic a way as you possibly could.

BTW I'm pretty sure I'm posting in another Patranus faux rage thread here. But I need more information to be sure.

So if you have a baby while in an airplane over an ocean, what location goes on the birth certificate?

"Born in the air"

The child won't be granted US citizenship. The visa was probably granted because she claimed to have an ailing relative in the United States. She may have also done her best to conceal her 'baby bump'.

Back in the old school days when Pakistan and the U.S. were especially tight because of the whole U.S.S.R. thing, visiting American warships in Pakistani harbour were an extremely popular tourist attraction for pregnant Pakistani women. Give birth on a U.S. warship and a green card is all yours (well, the kid anyways)...

Some good quotes in this thread...

Doubt there is a law against it, though. FWIW, I'm against citizenship by birthright and believe that we should amend the constitution to nullify that outdated (mainly targeted towards former slaves) amendment.

Meh, former US territory anyway. If it makes you feel better, think of her as an American from a land that made a mistake by leaving The Union.

Visas can be given for a very long period, like 10 years if you are employed and don't seem like a classical immigrant. You can't possibly prevent these people from boarding the flights, although they could be refused entry once on US soil.

LOL, of course you win this thread!

The fact that she stated that she intended to come here to give birth, for the specific purpose of granting the baby citizenship should be grounds for permanent deportation and a bar to entry.

But hey... I'm just not a compassionate progressive I guess.

Where did she specifically state that?

fuck this bitch...she's gonna come here and try to get a job and shit and become a productive member of society. fuck that noise.

over-reaction aside, i do think there should be some penalty for her. it's unlikely that she or the baby will be granted citizenship.
