Hmmm... The Apple store and several AT&T stores here in Vegas still have a good supply / stock of iPhones.

Uhh, "hot new releases" usualyl have a "1 item per purchase" or some other limiting factor.

Apparently this lady never learned the laws of supply & demand that state you need to have a low supply in order for people to be willing to pay more.

I thought you had to sign a 2 year contract to get one, so how are people buying them without a contract to sell on eBay?

this will be interesting depending on how much more they'll charge for the phone, I'd consider getting one pre-paid but right now AT&T's site has no information about the iPhone as a Pay As You Go. The links I find on Google all seem like rumors, is there an offical link from AT&T or Apple stating this?

*edit* looks like you have to fail a credit check to get a prepaid iPhone, figures *siiigh*
