I'm not surprised. If I had the internet connection some of these companies have, I'd download 2,000+ mp3's as well.

Same thing happend to my friend last week. She has a great job at Nike (for a college student) but she had well over 3 gigs of crap on a network drive (MP3s, Wiamps skins, Windows themes, Naked photos of Antonio Benderes, etc etc). The IT manager wasn't too happy. :Q

At my old job we had a 80GB HD in our server dedicated to our mp3 collections.

There is a reason why its called 'WORK' . Until you own ur company.....work is mostly work...and they whip you with a belt to get more out of you. :(

Only 2000? pshaw. Thats nothing. I had to buy a 20GB hdd just so I could free up space on my main 30GB hdd. 'Course, I have almost 100 music vdeos, which contribute greatly to the size of the Music directory.

I have about 3000 on my computer. The most I've ever had at work depended on how long I was there. I'd say I never had more than about 150 mp3s in any job, but my recent one I think I may not bother installing any because the potential for job-letting would exist. They are, afterall, basically illegal the way most of us get them.

Of course only a dingle dong installs stuff like that on a network drive. I know of a guy who was fired for about 2 gigs of porn on a network drive. Porn at work is dumb enough, but on a network drive? Good god.

David McOwen found out recently that he could face up to 30 years in jail and fines totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars because he installed some distributed computing software on the school's computers.

i can agree with that...
i had a co-worker who had stockpiled MP3's on her C drive and it crashed.. when I finally got it back up,i was mad that she had so many MP3's on her Root drive.

Anyway I moved them, and said to her if she is downloading stuff she has to keep them out of the C drive.

Infact a smiliar thing happened at school, where students collectively saved tonnes of MP3's on the root drive.

My dad has T3 at his work and he practically has the whole floor to himself, so he downloads some stuff for me and burns it to CD and brings it home. Then again, he only has a 15gb hard drive at work :Q

I have 500 mp3s on my work PC, but not one of them was downloaded at work or on work time. I brought them from home on 6 or so 100meg Zip discs. In fact I even did most the file transferring on my personal time. I'd go nuts w/o my music at work. I'm looking to get a radio at work to listen to those early Seattle Mariner games.

At Micrsoft a few years ago, in the Win2k debugging building..one person had around 10GBs of Mp3s on his Alpha machine. Everyone would stream Mp3s of him. He had 3 directorys..one English, Korean, and Japanese. And the music in the english varied from rock to rap.
