The funny thing is that the asshole who kept the finger hoping to sue is the one who is going to get his ass sued off. That employee could have gotten his finger reattached. This is what our sue-happy culture has wrought us, and I hope Stowers gets jail time as well has a nasty lawsuit in return for his greed.

I'm urging for this as well. Any decent lawyer should be able to win this case for the guy. I mean, what's worse, finding a finger in your custard... or having your finger chopped off and lost in custard?

Well... what real damages does the guy who found the finger in his custard have? Little if any. The guy who lost his finger permanently though, through the willful negligence of the guy who found it and refused to return it, has some very real damages, and thus the better lawsuit.
Interesting legal bit here, if you find a body part from someone else, you cannot keep it. It's not "finders keepers loser weepers", it belongs to the person who lost it, especially in these days when severed limbs and digits can possibly be reattached. I believe that Stowers committed a crime here, and I hope he gets convicted of it.

Stowers needs a cup of hot McDonald's coffee poured down the front of his shorts so he cannot reproduce or steal any one else's bodyparts.
