Greatest band since forever.

Been listening to the full length album non-stop for the past 2 weeks or so... Incredible.

The are a Zeppelin/Sabbath mix w/ a little White Stripes vocals thrown in there w/ some Audioslave-like guitar riffs. I really love this band and have been playing out their album for the last week. My fav song at the moment is "Tale".

Umm they most certainly are... and I'm more than familiar with Genre's and the bands you listed.

On that note, since this thread has been resurrected, Wolfmother is old-hat... already past my-time.

Now THE band of the millinium is The Sword. Incredible... and yes THEY are the definition of Stoner Rock.
 
I saw and met Wolfmother last week.

They put on a REALLY good show and they were supercool guys. I didn't really like their studio album, but their show was great.
 
I really like the Sword also... just downloaded one of their songs the other day and it's growing on me. Another band I'm really getting into is Witch. Rip Van Winkle is an incredible song that just grabs you by the nuts and doesn't let go - long live stoner rock.

If you're into stoner rock, have you checked out Priestess's new album? Wolfmother are barely stoner rock in my mind as they have the lo-fi sound influences but they're very poppy, short quick pop songs.
 
Haven't heard of Priestess before, but I'll check em out. As long as there are some crazy guitar riffs and solos, I'll give it a try.

Def give them a shot, also Electric Wizard if you haven't already.. they're the second coming of Sabbath but WAAAAAAAAAAY more bassy/low end fuzz, fvcking ridiculously good. Get 'dopethrone' by them.. one of the most important stoner rock albums in my opinion.

And of course Kyuss if you haven't heard them either.
