Wolfenstein....Poor Sales

I will pick it up once it is around $10. I do like a good game with Nazis AND zombies. A great combination.

Commander Keen (and games based on its engine) and Wolf3D bring back memories.

I dont believe in piracy but I also dont believe in paying for dog shit.
I'll wait for the bargain bin. In the spring. Because I am balls deep in college and cant afford to lose focus right now. If the game sucks I'll be pissed and short fifty bucks.
If it rocks I'll lose too much time from school work.

Bargain bin material. Played it on a friends pc, even higher end than mine. Has that consolish gamepad aiming, even with a mouse.

that explains a lot, why the fuck do they do that to pc games?

Because they're all console ports and it's cheaper to just port it over and not change anything to make more money. Hell some games don't even have the Xbox button icons removed from the game.

Agreed I was excited when I first heard about it but as I read more about it seemed way too consolized and a bit over the top like Red Alert 3. Then I heard about poor multiplayer and opted out. MP was great in RtCW

Perhaps people didn't buy it because they're sick of playing crappy FPS games with no (or very little or already-done) plot and so little diversity that once you've played one, you've played them all.

They'll ride the piracy train to explain bad sales, but maybe, just maybe, PC game sales are down because there hasn't been an original game in 10 years.

the lack of marketing priority from Activision is what the guys at id didn't like, thought maybe it would clash too much with CODMW2, that was partly the little push when they sold to Zenimax(?)

I'm tired of hearing about the piracy crap, yeah, it's there. it's been there since the days of when I had a Commodore 64!

but seriously, I think there wasn't much to the actual gameplay and MP, so ho-hum. I think they were banking on the Wolfenstein name a little too much.

lol at the PC version only selling 17k. I wonder what the piracy numbers are for it.

anyways, add me to the list of mediocre reviews being a factor of not purchasing the game.

They might blame pirates; but if they produce shit they should expect bad sales. Good (or even 1/2 decent games) tend to sell; just look at witcher; mass effect; and a few others. Most of the recent FPS have been dog shit like far cry 2; wolfenstein; ... of course they don't sell.
