Wolfenstein install error

99% through the install, I get an I?O error message and have to abort the install.
It does this even if I copy the CD to the HD and install from there.
 
I'd close everything running in the background, especially anti-virus software. Delete everything from your temp file. Check your add/remove programs. See if there's an entry for it. If there is, uninstall it. Manually delete any remaining Wolfenstein directory in your program files. Then try to install it.
 
I have the exact same problem. I bought the collector's edition and as I do the install, it gets to one *.pak file and then fails. I will try disabling everything and see if that works..Regards
 
Hmm , you should probably look at some of the fan sites, I'm sur eothers have experienced that problem in the past and have listed their fixes there.
