Woke up with a song in my head

I woke up with this song in my head this morning and I had to google the lyrics to remember the band's name. I used to listen to them years ago and had completely forgotten about them.

Anyone else have things like that happen? What the hell triggers you to get songs stuck in your head that you haven't listened to in decades?

Happens to me on occasion too.
The brain is a very mysterious organ. A crazy little sponge that remembers like mad, and randomly chooses the recall the oddest memories at strange times.
I often get songs, but the most often recalled memories are visual with me - either patterns, images, or video-like memories of random places.
Makes dreaming a trip most often.

Not so much when I wake up, but they will pop into my head at random throughout the day sometimes.
Maybe it's a micro-stroke or something

I wake up with a song in my head all the time, then I realize it's just my conscience trying to speak to me which I then proceed to shut out as I go about my day of swindling and hustling.

A sad side note...I'm still loading that video (it's at 2:37) and it's been loading for well over an hour. Maybe an hour and a half. Dialup sucks.

I'm thinking of picking up a dulcimer kit, and was cruising videos. This melody (a popular song for dulcimer or mandolin) got completely stuck in my head.

Well, I hope not. But I bet there's some reason for it, some impulse in the brain just happening to fire near somewhere in the memory section. I don't know, I'm not one of them smartie brain doctor guys!
