Wohoo for some reason websense didn't block ATOT

er, why would websense block ATOT? unless all Information Technology sites are set to be blocked

or do the forums actually fall under Message Boards and Clubs?

QFT. Sometimes AT can be useful for hardware and some network solutions. Very rarely though

I'm not entirely sure if it was Websense or some other surf patroling program, but someone made a thread not too long ago saying www.anandtech.xx allowed them to access the site even though ATOT was blocked. It's not blocked for me so I didn't delve too deep into the topic, but ask around and try a couple keyword searches for the thread.

many block only the chat feature
the client im at now has websense. they block googletalk but gmail still works. when i log on that piece is either missing or wont get connected...

but when i hook my personal one to the network, the google chat client works perfect... lol
 
Our work blocks the chat portion of gmail, the page loads completly, but the chat never connects 🙂
i still got my gmail
 
The forums have been blocked for the past 3 years now at my place of work. I actually have to pay a proxy service 10 dollars every 3 months to view and post on the forums (thats loyalty). Cant wait to have broadband at home so I can just tunnel in from home.
