the 'net is FAST. maybe some of the warez servers here got shut down or something, but this rocks. I hope it lasts 🙂
 
still the same speed its for as long as i can remember

all i know is that its faster at home on my cable line cause my school network sucks ass
 
i still only get a max dl speed to any one server of 150 K, and a max upload of 25 K.
Even though the ul/dl rates are 1500/256k

DONT GET BELLSOUTH DSL IT SUX.

Uhh... 1500 = 186k/sec and 256 = 32k/sec, so you aren't really doing that bad.

I send that...I have the same dl/up rates you do, and get about the same speeds.
 
(for the past semester and a half, the dorm connection at CMU has been generally much slower than broadband, sometimes down to dialup. now it is fast, and this rocks)
