Woah: Sigma 50-500mm f4-6.3 EX DG/HSM lens

The 50-500 has been out for quite a while. The new DG designation just means that it as new coatings on the lenses to optimize use with a digital sensor (so that the light reflecting off of the sensor and back to the lens doesn't make the picture ghostly).
 

My father has one of thoes as a demo product. It's pretty rad, neither he nor I have shot with it yet.

Yeah...it's already being called the "Digma" with the DG designation.

Woah. Slap that on with the 1.4x TC I have for my Sigma 70-200 and add in the crop factor and that is some serious optical power.

Unless you are using a pro-body, you can count on having to manual focus with a 1.4x TC

F4 on a lens that size is to slow? I hear they are gonna make a F1.4 model but its gonna cost over a million.

And the mounting ring bolts directly to the bed of an F350 for easy portability.

actually on that lens its pretty amazing, ive used one teh non DG one and for what it can do its pretty great, yes 6.3 isnt the best however its fvcking 500mm!!!!!! on a DSLR thats like 750mm equiv
