Toppled Mower Traps Alaskan, Killing Him

TALKEENTA, Alaska -- The owner of a remote Alaska lodge died of exposure after his lawnmower overturned and trapped him, authorities said Friday.

A neighbor found the body of Andrew Piekarski, 61, on Thursday. He had last been seen on Sunday.

Investigators determined that Piekarski drove off a small hill, and the lawnmower landed on his legs. When Piekarski could not free himself, he unsuccessfully tried to take the lawnmower apart using a multipurpose tool, authorities said.

"He couldn't get if off his legs and he couldn't get out from under it and he died from exposure, from hypothermia," Alaska State Troopers spokesman Greg Wilkinson said.

Overnight low temperatures at Talkeenta, about 80 miles north of Anchorage, have been dipping into the 30s.

pwned

Quoting, on the other hand, is not againt the law (as far as I know). It's like, sourcing in a book.

You didnt quote a line, you stole the entire article. I think that qualifies for redistribution.

I believe the mods or other powers that be agreed to allow entire articles to be posted, as long as they're accompanied by comments from the OP (which this one lacks)

do you want to punch him i nthe head or shall I?

because, hoenstly, I really want to punch him in the heads...

seriously, you can have the ribs...his head is askign for it right now...

Guess how I mow my lawn?

I tie a rope to it and I push it down the hills and I pull it back up ... and then let it run down the hill again ...

It is too dangerous to mow it without a rope..

I mow it once a year .. I dont care if it gets long. It is annoying as hell to cut.

sad to hear.

I agree... you can watch the news for eleven minutes... and you could get depressed within seconds.

The news today only states what a problem is most of the time, with very little solutions in talk. Those indivituals with high standards will be able to maintain stronger levels of intuition without the terrible fallback of what they see on TV.

I also want to add one more thing, that the news has taught some indivituals to continue living double lives. Not in result of the news entirely, but when we see and hear the extremes, and then we go to school and hear something else, most of society will absorb the information differently, combined with lifestyle situated living conditions at home. Americans I believe have more than one hidden personality that is harder to define, compared to any other nation in the world as of now.
