You...just now...realized...that............Keanu.....Reeves is a...poor......actor?

Were...you...............stoned.....during his...............movies?

However, I agree that in spite of his usually poor delivery of his lines, he usually manages to be entertaining in most of his flicks...and he manages to get into SOME good ones.

Funny I never noticed this crappiness in the Matrix series. Maybe he got better. Is it OK to see his other films?

EDIT: Can't believe I posted this here. Can the Moderators please move this to Off-Topic?

EDIT: Woah, Areacode is now the OP?

Yes but he pulling in millions for doing it

He's a terrible actor that almost ruins every movie he's in. He just sometimes falls into pretty good movies that overshadow how bad his acting is. Has a hell of an agent I guess, but he is NEVER the reason a movie is good... there's just movies that are still good despite him being in it.

I actually bought the DVD because it was referenced in Hot Fuzz. Turned out to be not bad.

Oh, and I'm shaking my head that no one has mentioned Speed yet. Not a bad performance, and a great movie overall.

On another note, I am just now watching The Day the Earth Stood Still. When they had GORT in the underground bunker and he was escaping the officer who gave the order to stop him said:
"Whiskey Task Force open fire"

WTF

the only KR movie I can tolerate is A Scanner Darkly and its most certainly in spite of him.

He's got a couple monologues that are just wretched.

It was pretty easy to overlook Keanu when you are trying to come to terms with Rob Lowe playing a professional hockey player (and being distracted by Cindy Gibb's righteous boobs).

lol, I got Point Break on BRD for C$15(+13% tax) from Blockbuster. It's a fun flick and I think it is the perfect role for Keanu, he is a surfer dude :)

I liked the first Matrix cause it blew my mind when it came out, watched it like 10 times.. the two others didn't impress me compared to the first. I kept wondering after watching the first movie, we could be all be in a matrix ourselves and never know! Creeped the shit outta me just overthinking myself into oblivion.

Overall, not the best actor - has acted in some good movies, for sure.

Come on, he should have won an Oscar for Bill and Ted's Excelllent Adventure; if not for that, then definitely for the sequel Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.

Funny you mention Point Break, just watched that on HBO tonight....

I'm not ashamed to admit that I LOVE Point Break - it's right up there with Roadhouse among movies that I will watch anytime I see them on TV....

I am a terrible person, how could I possibly forget he was in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. What is this world coming to?
